One device I’ve been wanting to talk about for a while now is the UFO – Foreo’s smart masking device. This is a skincare device that combines quite a few devices that i own all in one small compact device.  It’s the world’s first smart masking device so we have a more innovative way to use a sheet mask.

It is a LED therapy tool, and a thermo and cryotherapy tool.  It provides both hot and cold therapy options and a sonic pulse tool.  I actually own all these tools separately so it’s really nice to have it all combined in the UFO.

I received this smart mask a couple weeks ago and have been using it every other day or so before I go to bed. I feel like nighttime is the best time to nourish your skin, before you go to sleep. The mask performs very well, and the heating mode boosts all the goodness in the mask. The effect is instant: even skin tone, natural glow, softness to touch.

It’s a very relaxing procedure because the little masks are soaked with serum. Serums are light in texture, not sticky and have very faint pleasant scent to them. So far, I have used their basic masks, but I am planning to try all the masks they that offer for my skin type. I had no issues with the app either, simple to follow which was a relief.

The UFO gives you a professional style treatment in 90 seconds. That time frame fits in perfectly with my skincare routine because there is no waiting around.

The mask is saturated with serum, but it is contained and does not ooze out all over the place like other masks if that makes sense.

After you apply the serum, you snap the mask on the machine and then you rub that around your face. I love the fact that it does not drip and that I do not need to get too handsy with it. The serum absorbs super quick into the skin, and you’re left with no stickiness or tackiness.

The UFO power activated masks in particular the farm to face masks are hydrocell masks which means they are 100% plant-based which means they are biodegradable and the little packs they come in are fully recyclable

So let’s talk about some of the amazing features that the UFO offers

Ono of its main features is LED therapy. LED is something that i used to be very skeptical about and I have had numerous LED products previously that did not seem to work great for me.

i’m going to try to explain LED very simply because I’m still  trying to wrap my head around this kind of technology.  It basically uses light and this light penetrates the skin. When the light is absorbed it stimulates a response in the skin and that response changes depending on what color light you’re using.

The Foreo UFO actually offers eight different lights. Each of these lights paired with the different provided masks. Thus, the UFO has very different unique masking routines built into the device, so you get something different depending on what mask you use.

So, what can these different light colors do? As an example, the purple light can help reduce the appearance of fine lines. The white light can help tighten and reduce puffiness. The green light can help brighten the skin and even out skin tone. The orange can revitalize the skin, blue can reduce the appearance of imperfections, yellow can reduce redness whilst red has anti-aging benefits.

Let’s talk about the Thermo and Cryotherapy. This is basically hot and cold therapy. i have so many cooling tools that I use when my skin is irritated or when I’m having a rosacea flare up and that coolness just instantly brings down any kind of irritation.

I do love hot and cold therapy the thermotherapy uses heat obviously not boiling hot just nice and warm this is believed to basically help the product absorb into the skin. The cryotherapy uses low temperature and what this does is it helps the skin look firmer and i truly believe that when i use a cold tool on my face my skin looks tighter yet plumper at the same time it looks more even.

Of course, we know that coldness when puton the skin can help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores temporarily which I can vouch for.

Another one of the Foreo UFO features is the sonic pulses. Again, the pulses was something that i was a bit skeptical about until I learned the science behind this kind of tool and how it interacts with our skin.The trans dermal sonic pulses help penetrate your skin and relax the muscles in your face and reduce puffiness.

If I’m going out for a full day for some reason whether for work or play this gentle kind of massaging t-sonic pulses is really nice and relaxing on the face muscles.

With all these integrated benefits let’s talk about how to use this device as well as my thoughts and feelings on it. Hopefully you’re going to see how super simple and quick the FOREO UFO is to use.

I always use this device in the evening for no reason, other than I just feel like it is relaxing and great for ending the day. It’s super easy to use. You take your favorite power activated mask, clip it back in and then we’re ready to go. There is an app that accompanies the UFO too which i find super fun, and if you’re a skincare enthusiast like me this skin care app just takes your routine to the next level.

I talked about the FOREO UFO power activated masks and how they all come with their each unique routine. You have a little bar code on the back and once your mask is in the UFO you scan this barcode and then your routine begins .

I love the pure ingredients, FOREO really concentrates on high quality ingredients like premium Manuka honey. I have oily skin and I think it’s actually targeted to people with dry skin but i just find it’s really hydrating and moisturizing, and it leaves your skin looking softer and more revitalized and smoother.

The green tea in it is a soothing great antioxidant as well and

green tea is one of those ingredients that is very researched because it is thought to help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and is really good for people with blemishes and oily skin.

With regular use of this product over the last couple months I’ve just noticed a general overall radiance in my skin. I’ve been receiving a few nice comments, and a lot of people have been looking at my skin and noticed it’s been healing and looking  more radiant.

I’m keeping my routine super basic at the moment but i do feel like that extra care and attention and time I have been putting into my skin with this device is really helping.

My favorite thing about the FOREO UFO is that it can actually be used with any of my other skin products. This is something that like I’ve been using probably non-stop for the last couple months now – like every single day again not just with the masks but also the moisturizers and serums because I feel it gives my skin just that little bit of extra attention that it really needs and deserves at the moment.

I put my skin through so much and sometimes we all put our skin through so much especially with all these lotions and potions and actives that we all use sometimes it’s nice just to treat it to something special that it doesn’t usually get every day and the FOREO UFO is just that.
